National Championships
The 18th CNKC has successfully concluded including junior, mudansha, ladies, mens and team categories. We also had the first-ever East-West Masters Shiai and various demonstrations, including a Taiko performance. The taikai was extremely well organized and also exceeded our financial targets.
Thank you to the organizing committee for all your hard efforts and it’s chief, Mr. Thu-Nhon.
Thank you for your support
Dear CKF members & practitioners;
I hope this message finds you well.
As you know, we have done various events including the CNKC, which successfully happened in Montreal. After the AGM election, we have a new director and three retired directors, including myself.
Eduardo and Junko, thank you for your support to CKF in the past several years. Eduardo’s dedication has certainly changed the administration of the CKF. Patrick is the new director, whose ability the board can rely on. John and Neil will continually serve CKF; I really appreciate their dedication — without them CKF would not function.
I have served over 5 years since the 16th WKC in Brazil. I hope I had some contribution for CKF during my presidency. It was an unclear path when I took over — I believe there is now a more visible & clear path forward. I am sure the CKF will move into a fresh direction under the new President d’Orangeville sensei’s leadership. His tireless & undying passion for kendo will be warmly accepted by all CKF members and the broader community.
I will continue being a FIK director for CKF until the end of Tokyo WKC in 2015. Thank you for your support and encouragement for the past few years. I have learned and enjoyed working alongside such dedicated volunteers — it was my pleasure serving the CKF.
Yours truly,
H. Okusa
