General Grading Times
In order for members to plan their year, here is a list of the usual grading times in the CKF. Please note that these times do change once in a while, and that not all grade levels are tested at all gradings. Those gradings listed as “major” are the ones which will usually include a central grading of 5/6 dan and above.
Kendo:
End Feb. / Beginning Mar.: Saskatoon
Jun. (first Sat.): Vancouver
Jun. (varies): Toronto
Jun. (at the Quebec Open): Montreal
Last Sun. in Nov.: Toronto (major)
First Sat. in Dec.: Steveston (major)
Iaido:
Mid-Year: Vancouver
Mid-Year: Southern Ontario
Year-End: Steveston (major)

Jodo:

If you are challenging an exam that is part of a special event such as a seminar or tournament, you must still apply separately for the exam through the usual way. Seminar fees or tournament fees do not include the exam.
