The Canadian Kendo Federation (a not-for-profit Athletic Federal Corporation) operates on membership fees and grading revenue received from our members.
Once again, we have secured the services of Stern Cohen, Certified Professional Accounting Firm, for our Annual Review of our financials and completed filing our 2020 Annual Returns with the Canada Revenue Agency— Carters and Associates providing legal services and advice.
In accordance with Section 3.03 of the General Operating Bylaws of the Canadian Kendo Federation, the annual financial statements are made public to the organization members 21 to 60 days before the Annual General Meeting. Due to the cancelation of the 2020 Annual General Meeting (scheduled in conjunction with the Canadian National Kendo Championships in July), the Board of Directors has made the decision to release the Financial Statement now and are planning a virtual General Meeting later this year.
The financial statement for the fiscal year ending March 2020 is now available. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email John Maisonneuve, CKF Treasurer.
