Details about the AGM that will be held in conjunction with the Canadian National Kendo Championships will be coming later. However, one of the key items on the agenda will be the election of the new board of directors. According to our new by-law, all members of the board of directors are elected every three years. This means that any current members who wish to continue must resign their position and offer themselves as candidates in the upcoming election to be held at the AGM.
If you are interested in serving on the board of directors, please submit your candidate information to CKF Secretary Neil Gendzwill no later than May 30. This information should contain a short biography and also a paragraph or two making the case for your candidacy. This information will be posted on the CKF website so that the members can be informed in advance of who they will be voting for. No late entrants will be allowed. Candidates are strongly encouraged to attend the AGM, where they will be expected to make a short speech to the members.
