If you’re walking around town in Toronto, try looking up! Vibrant street banners can be seen all around Toronto promoting the upcoming Canadian National Kendo Championships. The banners can be spotted in 9 streets and 30 poles in the city. We encourage you to snap a photo of the banners and tag #CNKC2023 to show your support and excitement for the Championships.
The 21st Canadian National Kendo Championships will be held on August 12, 2023 and the 2nd Canadian National Junior Kendo Championships on August 13th, 2023 in Markham Ontario. Donations can be made at
The banner was designed by Andrea Masuda from Renshin Kendo Dojo. Her dynamic design won the design competition held by Kendo Ontario.
Thank you to Greg Fenton from JCCC Kendo Club and Cityscape Displays for their generous sponsorship and support in bringing these banners to life throughout the city.
