| The Canadian Kendo Federation invites kendo leaders from across Canada to participate in several Referee Seminars this spring. All active kendo practitioners 4 Dan and above should attend the Virtual Referee Primer on Sunday, April 3rd, and one of the in-person Referee Seminars. Kendo practitioners who are 3 Dan may attend any of the events as observers. For all in-person referee seminars, please bring your copy of “The Regulations of Kendo Shiai and Shinpan (September 2nd, 2017 – “The Regulations” and subsequent corrections)”, published by International Kendo Federation (FIK); your own red and white shinpan-ki (flags), and wear Kendo-gi, Hakama, and Tare for the seminar portion. All attendees MUST review the Provisional Match and Referee Rules as developed by All Japan Kendo Federation (ZNKR) prior to attending the virtual and in-person seminars.
